The Spanish Island of Majorca in the Mediterranean has been inhabited for many millennia, with inhabitations evident from as early as between 6000-4000 BC. The island was occupied by the Romans in 123 BC, and though hotly disputed by many countries in the intervening years, eventually came to Aragonian (Spanish) rule in the 11th Century, where it has mostly remained for almost 800 years.

During the time of rule by the Cambodians the city was called Prey Nokor (Prey means wood or forest and Nokor means city which is derived from the Sanskrit word for city Nagara). Prey Nokor served as the major port for the Khmers and was a small fishing village until the city of Prey Nokor was captured by the Vietnamese during the seventeenth century. In the Vietnamese language the city came to be called Sai Gon. During the French Colonial times the city Ho Chi Minh was called Saigon and was the capital of their colony Cochinchina. Later after independence this became the capital city of South Vietnam, in the years 1954 to 1975. When Vietnam was united in 1976 and became the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the city extended and renamed Ho Chi Minh City, in memory of the communist leader Ho Chi Minh.

China is a large country at a size of 9,596,960 sq km. China was only partially open to the world from 1979 onwards and has been a communist country for many decades. Although there is much progress in the travel industry and infrastructure of China, there remain parts that needs to be improved before it can match the level that most tourist would require.

Ooty is a hill station in south India in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is the capital of Nilgiri district. Ooty or Udhagamandalam is a famous honeymoon and summer holiday destination of India. People from across the country and international tourists come here to enjoy the natural beauty and relax in the peaceful and cool climate of Ooty which prevails almost all the time of the year.
